If you haven’t completed the Avian Alarm Project yet, then this guide from IGGM is for you! For raiders looking to perfect their base and accumulate resources before the next Expedition, this project is not only a fantastic opportunity to explore the new Riven Tides map but also an essential step in filling their inventory with resources.
Here, IGGM will break down the resource requirements for all 5 stages of Avian Alarm Project and provide the fastest and most efficient farming paths and alternatives!
Stage 1: Initial Flock Intake
The first step of Avian Alarm Project is simple: just place bird traps along the buoys on the Seabed. The reward for completing this step is a Dockmaster’s Detector and 25 Raider Tokens.
Please note that you do not need to evacuate after completing this step. You can start beachcombing right away and use your newly acquired explorer to loot the loot needed for the subsequent ARC Raiders items.
Stage 2: Preliminary Signal Birds
The items needed for the second step are:
- 7 Tick Pods
- 20 Canisters
- 12 Moss
- 5 Twilight Compass Ship Models
The rewards for completing this step are: Heavy Gun Parts Blueprint, 3 Surge Coils, and 25 Raider Tokens.
First, for Tick Pods, you should look around Hotel Panorama Azzurro POI, as this is the area with the highest ARC Tick spawn rate on Riven Tides map. However, you can also try your luck along the coastline from Wharf to Port Authority building POI.
As for your canisters, you’ll need to salvage or retrieve items from containers near Stacking Yard POI. Pay special attention to items like Bicycle Pumps, Humidifiers, Smoke Grenades, and Water Filters. However, it’s important to note that since later missions require you to hand in Water Filters, if you’ve already collected 20 Canisters, you can collect some Water Filters while you’re at the flower shop.
Actually, there’s an even simpler method: you can directly exchange seeds for Canisters at Celeste, thus speeding up the process.
Next, the best place to cultivate Moss is Dried Riverbed. If your spawn point is anywhere on the western side of the map, IGGM recommends running there directly to ensure you’re the first to reach Dried Riverbed and collect as much Moss as possible.
As for the green Twilight Compass Ship Models, the best way to find them is using Dockmaster’s Detector during Beachcombing. Alternatively, you might find them near the containers while scavenging supplies in Stacking Yard.
Stage 3: Secondary Validation Birds
Now, let’s move on to the third step of the project. You’ll need:
- 3 Comet Igniters
- 10 Fertilizers
- 8 Rusted Tools
- 5 Velocity Ship Models
The reward for completing this step is: an Anvil IV, an Anvil Splitter, and 50 Raider Tokens.
The best way to gather all these resources is to revisit ARC Raiders Riven Tides map. While Comets don’t spawn as frequently here as during Close Scrutiny event, you still have a chance to find them near the coast in the northwest of the map. You can use Anvil shots combined with Seeker Grenade bombardments to quickly kill the Comets before they explode and collect the dropped Comet Igniters.
If your arsenal is empty, don’t worry. IGGM offers a large selection of cheap ARC Raiders blueprints for sale, including Anvil and Seeker Grenade blueprints, allowing you to focus on the hunt rather than navigating the tedious crafting mats.
As for Fertilizers, you can find them on the coast at the northern end of the map. IGGM suggests keeping an eye out for these items while searching for Ship Models during Beachcombing event. However, Riven Tides map is clearly not the best place to find Fertilizers, so it’s recommended to search other maps, such as the Hydroponic Dome Complex in Dam Battlegrounds.
Also, there are Rusted Tools, which you can find in containers in Stacking Yard.
Finally, there are the blue Velocity Ship Models, which you can find in addition to Stacking Yard, by visiting Hotel Panorama Azzurro POI during Beachcombing event.
Stage 4: Heightened Alert Birds
Next, we move on to the fourth step, where you’ll need:
- 1 Vaporizer Regulators
- 3 Water Filters
- 8 Agave
- 5 Sirena Dorata Ship Model
The reward for completing this step is Gel Patches, Riven Tides Hotel Keycard No. 311, and 50 Raider Tokens.
Let’s start with Vaporizer Regulators. The passive way to obtain them is by completing the looting tasks in the early stages of the project and keeping an eye out for crashed ARC Couriers; Vaporizer Regulators will spawn in these areas.
However, you can also actively hunt crashed ARC Couriers during Electromagnetic Storm map conditions to gather materials as quickly as possible.
Water Filters, similarly, can be found in containers in Stacking Yard. Of course, if you’ve already collected some as mentioned earlier, you can skip this part entirely.
As for Agave, on Riven Tides map, the best option is to search along Dried Riverbed north of Customs House. Alternatively, you can check the evacuation point near Communication Tower on the east side of Spaceport.
Finally, as before, you can participate in Beachcombing event at Panorama Azzurro or collect the necessary Sirena Dorata Ship Models at Stacking Yard.
Stage 5: Critical Warning Birds
Now, we’ve finally arrived at the fifth step of Avian Alarm project, which requires you to prepare:
- 2 Turbine Compressors
- 3 Red Coral Jewelry
- 4 Roots
- 1 Leviathan’s Crown Ship Model
The rewards for completing this step are a Bird House backpack attachment, a Fist in Air emote, an Acoustic Guitar, and 100 Raider Tokens. To be honest, the rewards aren’t huge, but at least the guitar has some value.
Getting back to the major topic, let’s see how to obtain these items. First, regarding Turbine Compressors, you don’t actually need to fight these ARC Turbines to unlock this resource.
You can keep an eye out for crashed ARC Couriers while completing the looting missions in previous project steps. Or, if you happen to find Turbine Compressors while searching for Vaporizer Regulators, grab them immediately and put them in your Safe Pocket for later use.
For Red Coral Jewelry, the best time to find trinkets is actually during the Beachcombing event. Looting the blue destructible containers on the shore. If you’re unlucky, you can also farm trinkets in Blue Gate Village, as it’s usually less crowded and there are plenty of containers to loot around the apartments.
Honestly, of all these materials, Roots are probably the rarest; they’re really hard to find. They drop on the ground near trees and other natural resources in Riven Tides map. For this reason, IGGM recommends starting your search in the dried-up seabed area on the map. If you find any roots, don’t forget to put them in a safe place.
Finally, as for Leviathan’s Crown Ship Model, stick to rotating between Hotel Panorama Azzurro and Stacking Yard.
If you’re really struggling to farm a specific material, you can buy ARC Raiders Avian Alarm material from IGGM, saving you hours of tedious grinding and allowing you to quickly return to the intense combat front lines.
While the rewards from ARC Raiders Avian Alarm project might not be top-tier (aside from a valuable guitar). The process is the best way to familiarize yourself with Riven Tides map. Note that investing most of your time in Stacking Yard is wise, as it yields almost half the materials you need.
